Booking

Before you book.

How do I book a room?

Pick a venue, then a room, then a time slot. Bookings are made online through our system. We don't take walk-ins, and slots fill up fast at weekends — book ahead.

How far in advance can I book?

Up to six months ahead. We open new dates rolling, so if your preferred date isn't visible yet it'll appear soon — check back or get in touch.

Do you charge a booking fee?

No. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. No service charge, no hidden extras.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes — up to 48 hours before your slot, free of charge. After that, we can't refund. If you need to reschedule, contact us as early as possible and we'll do our best.

On the Day

What actually happens.

How early should I arrive?

Fifteen minutes before your slot. We brief you, get you settled, and start the clock on time. Late arrivals can't always be accommodated.

What should I wear?

Something comfortable. You won't be crawling, but you'll be on your feet for an hour and may need to bend, reach, and move around. Closed-toe shoes recommended.

Will it be scary?

Some rooms are more atmospheric than scary, but a couple (Dead on the Hour, in particular) are designed to unsettle. Each room page tells you what to expect. If you're unsure, ask us.

What if we get stuck?

Your host watches the game. They'll nudge you with a clue when you genuinely need it — never sooner, never preachy. The pacing is the point.

Can I bring my phone in?

You can bring it but you'll be asked to put it away during the game. Photos are encouraged before and after — not during. We have a photo wall set up for that.

Accessibility

Making it work for you.

Are your rooms wheelchair accessible?

Our Weston venue is fully accessible. Some Taunton rooms have steps as part of the experience — please contact us before booking so we can recommend a suitable room.

Can players with hearing or visual impairments take part?

Absolutely — and we encourage you to let us know in advance so the host can adjust the briefing and clue style. The puzzles are multi-sensory by design.

Is there a minimum age?

The Gingerbread Heist (Weston) and Return to the Chamber are family-friendly from age 8 with adults. Most other rooms suit ages 12+. Horror rooms are 16+.

Groups & Corporate

Bigger parties.

How big a group can you take?

A single room takes 2–6 players. For bigger groups we run multiple rooms in parallel — Taunton can accommodate up to 24 players at once. Get in touch for the logistics.

Do you do team-building / corporate days?

Yes, regularly. We can build packages around your team's size and goals — combining rooms, debriefs, food, even custom puzzles. Drop us a line.

Can you host hen / stag parties?

Yes — popular at all three venues. Let us know on booking and we can recommend the best room for your group's vibe.

Vouchers

About gifts.

How do gift vouchers work?

You buy online, we post a sealed card in 48 hours (free UK postage). The recipient redeems the code at any venue within 12 months.

Can I get a digital voucher instead?

Yes — choose digital at checkout and we'll email a printable PDF voucher straight to you (or to the recipient).

Can vouchers be extended?

Within reason. If your voucher is close to expiring and you're struggling to find a slot, contact us and we'll usually extend it.

Still Got a Question?

We're a quick
email away.

If your question isn't here, drop us a line. The team replies fast — usually same day.
