What if we don't know what to do?
Everything you need is in the room with you, you don't need any special knowledge or to bring anything with you. Your Gamesmaster (Phasemaster) will be listening in and watching you through a live camera feed, so can give you hints and help if you get really stuck!
What is an escape room?
An escape room is a themed room that you enter and then have 60 minutes to work through the clues and puzzles in the room to make your escape/complete the objective. The rooms are immersive, so have storylines to help build excitement, making it great fun for a family activity / date nights / team building - any excuse really!
Are we actually locked in?
For games where the objective is to literally escape the room, the door is held shut, but can easily be released by pressing the emergency exit button next to the door. You are free to do this at any time. In the event of an emergency or loss of power, the doors will automatically release for your exit.
What happens if we don't get out in time?
You stay in the room forever.
Only joking! Your phasemaster will come into the room and can walk you through the rest of the game so you can see how the rest of the room plays out. Unless of course you want to come back and replay the room, then we can keep the ending a secret, just let your phasemaster know.
How long does it take?
When you arrive you have a quick briefing of the game with the phase master and then you have 60 minutes in the room to make your escape! After your 60 minutes are up, we debrief and you can chat through your game if you wish. Your whole experience with us lasts around an hour and a half.
Who can play?
Our rooms are suitable for couples, groups of adults, families and older children. You need a minimum of 2 people to play and a maximum of 6 for each room. (don't worry, if you're playing as a couple or smaller group, you still get the room to yourself (we won't add in other players like some other escape rooms!) Our suggested minimum age for group bookings/birthday parties is 12 years old, but any age is welcome to play. (Just bare in mind that the rooms are designed with older players in mind, so there may be a few tricky points; however the phase masters will be on hand to guide them through if they need some help.)
How many rooms do you have?
We currently have 7 rooms. 4 rooms in Taunton and 3 in Weston-super-Mare. We also add in extra rooms from November with a Christmas theme at both venues so keep an eye out for those too!
Is there any parking?
Yes! At our W-s-M and Taunton branches we have a big car park (free of charge) right outside of both venues.
When do we need to arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your game slot. So for example; if you have booked the 2pm slot, please arrive at 1.45pm.
