What Is An Escape Room?
Real-life room escape games are a type of physical adventure game in which people are locked in a room with other participants and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and escape the room within a set time limit.
Think of it as a mix between The Da Vinci code and a treasure hunt. Here at Lock and Code we intend to deliver an unforgettable experience, with story driven and atmospheric rooms.
Who can play?
Our rooms are suitable for couples, groups of adults, families and older children. You need a minimum of 2 people to play and a maximum of 6 for each room. (don't worry, if you're playing as a couple or smaller group, you still get the room to yourself. We wont add in other players like some other escape rooms!) Our suggested minimum age for group bookings/birthday parties is 10 years old and for this we would generally suggest the alchemy enigma.
How many rooms do you have?
We currently have 4 rooms. each room can hold 6 players (so a total of 12 at each venue). .
do we need any special knowledge or skills?
No! everything you need is in the room with you. Your gamemaster will be watching you through a live camera feed, so can give you hints and help if you get really stuck!
how long does it take?
When you arrive you have a quick briefing of the game and then you have 60 minutes in the room to make your escape! After your 60 minutes are up, we debrief and you can help yourself to a complimentary drink before heading on your way. Your whole experience with us lasts around an hour and a half.
is there any parking?
Yes! We have a big free carpark right outside of our west wick branch.
our town centre branch has on street parking right outside and the neighbouring streets, they allow a maximum stay of 2 hours for £3 (pay & Display).
